David Walliams endorses YOLO Experience therapy

Comedian, author, and television personality David Walliams recently enjoyed a unique wellness experience ahead of delivering the closing keynote at the Future Vision Your Culture Your DNA Shared Services Forum UK Annual Conference at Aintree Racecourse.

Shared Services Forum UK is a national membership community made up of public and private sector organisations all working within Shared Services and Global Business Service operations.

With a little extra time on-site before his scheduled appearance, Walliams accepted an invitation to try the YOLO Experience, an innovative wellbeing therapy created by YOLO Wellbeing managing director and founder, Cheryle Britton.

Designed to improve mental and physical relaxation, the YOLO Experience combines upper-body massage with guided meditation and breathing techniques in a fully clothed, upright, seated session.

Following his treatment, Walliams described feeling “blissful,” “calm,” and “ready” for the stage.

Lynsey Oakes, operations director at Shared Services Forum UK, said: "It was a dream come true to have David Walliams featuring at our flagship event and we wanted to make sure his experience with us before and after he took to the stage was one to remember.

"YOLO Wellbeing certainly delivered and once again it was a pleasure to have Cheryle and the team supporting us.

“David arrived early and was happy to try out the YOLO Experience,” said Britton. “He gave us fantastic feedback afterward, which is always rewarding for the team and validates the benefits of this therapy in high-stress, professional settings.”

The YOLO Experience, on-site at the conference, was a key feature of the event’s wellness offerings, showing attendees how the therapy can help manage workplace stress and tension. Designed for the modern workplace, the YOLO Experience allows individuals to receive a rejuvenating session without the need to get undressed.

Research trials conducted in collaboration with the NHS and the University of Central Lancashire last year demonstrated the YOLO Experience's impact: just a single 20-minute session reduced anxiety, stress, and burnout by up to 25 per cent.

As businesses increasingly seek ways to prioritise employee wellness and mental health, YOLO Wellbeing is dedicated to bringing practical, results-driven therapies like the YOLO Experience to corporate premises, creating more relaxed, focused, and resilient work environments.

About YOLO Wellbeing
YOLO Wellbeing, founded by Cheryle Britton in September 2019, is a multi-award-winning workplace wellness business dedicated to providing on-site wellbeing therapies.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 lockdown just six months after launch, YOLO has demonstrated remarkable resilience and growth.

Today, the team has expanded to seven members, supported by two mobile YOLO Calm Rooms which are located in Preston and Bolton, providing services across the northwest.

The business joined the Manchester NatWest Accelerator Programme earlier this year and is gearing up to launch a franchise model in 2025.

Recognised as a “One to Watch” by Insider Magazine in 2023, and nominated for a Bolton Health and Wellbeing Award 2024, YOLO Wellbeing continues to innovate in workplace health.

Notably, the company’s signature YOLO Experience Therapy has undergone research trials in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire, the Health Innovation Agency, and the NHS Royal Lancaster Hospital. Findings reveal a reduction in stress, anxiety, and feelings of burnout by up to 25%.
