North West leading accountancy and business advisory firm Cowgills, has promoted Jane Rash to partner in its rapidly growing deal advisory team, heading up strategic support.

Jane joined Cowgills as a newly qualified accountant in 2001 before moving into deal advisory in 2002.  She was promoted to manager in 2008 and director in 2015.

Under her leadership the strategic support services team provides clients with guidance, support and advice pre, during and post transaction to achieve the best value and outcome, delivering strategy workshops, MI development, financial forecasts and company valuations.

Commenting on her promotion Jane said: “I’m extremely proud to be made a partner having worked at Cowgills since the very start of my career. The business has always been so supportive and flexible, enabling me to develop my skills, grow the strategic support services business and have time to raise my family.

“Cowgills is a genuine family firm, offering flexibility and enhanced employment benefits long before it became an expected norm in the industry.”

She continued: “There is so much inherent knowledge within our team, and we are able to build long term relationships with clients on their journey towards an exit, a process which sometimes can take several years.  We really get to understand their needs and become trusted advisors.”

Jane heads the five strong strategic support services team of manager – Richard Hunter; executives – Nicole Turton and Tom Godwin and analyst Ed Higham. Tom and Nicole have both recently qualified and progressed through Cowgills graduate scheme which Jane believes not only attracts the best young talent but offers people the opportunity to demonstrate their ability and create unique roles within the business.

Head of corporate finance Ian Johnson said: “Jane is a great example of how you can mould your career and develop a unique role within Cowgills if you have talent, ambition and drive, there really are no limits.

“During her early years with us Jane developed incredible skills including IT, an aptitude for financial forecasting and ability to develop exceptional people, which she has used to great success in helping to grow our strategic support services. We’re delighted to congratulate Jane on her well-deserved promotion and wish her every success in the next phase of her career.”

Today Cowgills has 230 employees with 22 partners and continues to attract the region’s brightest talent with its compelling offer of exceptional benefits, flexibility, and professional opportunity.
