County Sales - A long-term Fagan & Whalley customer

county-sales.jpg

Established in 1981, County Sales is a UK-based distributor of branded and own-label health & beauty, cosmetics, shoecare, and convenience store products.

Joining forces with Fagan & Whalley back in July 2010, our initial contract with County Sales covered the transport needs of the business.

“When we began to develop our warehousing depot at Burnley Bridge in 2017, the County Sales team approached us to discuss the storage and distribution solutions that we could provide to accommodate their needs, as the business had begun to outgrow its premises in Clitheroe,” explains F&W head of sales and business development, Graham Clare.

“Once our warehouse was up and running, our relationship with County Sales developed, and we’ve acted as a third-party logistics provider, offering a comprehensive storage, fulfillment and distribution service for them ever since.

“After moving out of their own storage facility and into ours, the warehouse staff that were under their employment are now employed by Fagan & Whalley.

“Their stock enters our network, is stored in our warehouse, picked and packed by our team according to the orders that come in, and then is distributed to customers nationwide.

“County Sales is a valued, long-standing Fagan & Whalley customer, and we’re delighted they continue to rely on us for the storage and distribution of their products.”

Phil Collins, finance director at County Sales, said: “We’ve worked with Fagan & Whalley for over ten years now, and we’ve consistently worked very well together. Fagan & Whalley became our hauliers back in 2010 after we had received poor service levels from the transport company we had previously worked with.

“We considered several competitors at the time, but chose Fagan & Whalley after meeting with Graham and the team, as we got along well during the initial meeting and felt they could provide a high level of service that would meet the needs of the business, whilst maintaining that personal touch. We also really liked the fact that they are a family business, much like our own, and that their base is local to us.

“Over the years that we’ve worked with them, our relationship has strengthened and our business has continued to grow through using their facilities. The Fagan & Whalley team offer an excellent service all-round and maintain a great level of communication, which is vital when integrating such an important function of your business with a third-party logistics provider.

“Overall, we’re extremely happy with the service provided by Fagan & Whalley, and would have no hesitation in recommending them to other businesses.”
