Badgequo have agreed to let the site on Frontier Park

A cosmetic and toiletries manufacturer Badgequo has signed a lease for a unit at Frontier Park, Burnley.

The Yorkshire headquartered company designs and produces high quality cosmetics to major retailers across the UK and Europe.

It has agreed to let FP5 which is a 94,440 sq ft shed at Monte Blackburn's Burnley industrial scheme.

It comes after the 157,740 sq ft  letting to Stolle Machinery of FP2.

Andrew Harris, head of operations at Badgequo said: "We are delighted to have completed the tenancy lease, which will be a key factor in our growth aspirations for the business.”

Alex Kenwright, development director of Monte Blackburn Ltd said: "Frontier Park Burnley will PC in December this year but FP3 will be ready in July.

"This will give us 157K sqft and 39K sqft immediately ready for occupation in a market starved of well located, BREEAM Very Good and EPC A rated modern units.  With a healthy enquiry schedule, we are targeting a fully let scheme by Christmas.”

Trevor Dawson and B8 Real Estate are joint agents for the development in Burnley.

Michael Cavannagh, Director at Trevor Dawson said: "Managing to secure a prestigious name such as Badgequo for the Business Park is great news.

"This illustrates the quality of buildings that are being developed on site and is further good news for the borough of Burnley and the wider Lancashire area.

"On the back of the deals to Stolle and Badgequo we are also currently in legals on another unit within the Business Park with FP4 which is 93,800 sq ft also under offer. We hope to announce further good news shortly.”

Steve Johnson of joint agents B8 said: "Monte’s commitment to build the scheme speculatively has been rewarded with both lettings being secured before completion.

"Interest is being shown in the remaining units from both local and regional occupiers highlighting the quality of the specification and location."

Frontier Park, Burnley is a 540,000 sq ft speculative industrial/logistics development providing five units between 39,000 – 158,500 sq. ft. directly accessed from Junction 9 of the M65 motorway.

Barnfield Construction are the main contractors for the site and are well progressed with the final two units.

FP3 which is approximately 158,000 sq. ft. will be completed in the Summer and FP4 which is approximately 93,800 sq. ft. will be completed towards the end of the year.

Freeths provided legal advice to Monte Blackburn on the lease with Badgequo being represented by Ashfords LLP.
