CoolKit expansion delivers 67 per cent job boost

A move by refrigerated vehicle specialist CoolKit into new 45,000 sq ft premises in Burnley has resulted in jobs growth of 67 per cent in the last twelve months to more than 72 employees.

Part of a strategic plan to achieve more than £15m worth of temperature-controlled vehicle orders annually, the expansion follows the company’s average 40 per cent year-on-year growth over the last six years.

CoolKit managing director, Rupert Gatty, said: “Recent years have been exceptional for CoolKit and our recent move puts us in an excellent position to achieve further growth. As well as increasing our manufacturing capabilities and improving our already impressive order turnaround times, the further capacity allows us to seek out yet further sales by expanding into new markets both in the UK and internationally.
