Complete get muddy for mental health

tough mudder team complete.JPG.jpg

We recently took on the crazy challenge of Tough Mudder as a team and had so much fun!

During the event, we ran a total of 11 miles. We faced 23 intense obstacles, including crawling through mud, hanging onto monkey bars for dear life, pulling each other over mud mounds, sliding into 4-degree water, and racing through electro-shock therapy to the finish line.

We took on this incredible challenge to raise money for the amazing Lancashire Mind. Lancashire Mind is one of our charity partners, and we have completed many challenges and held our 15-year charity ball to raise money for them.

What does Lancashire Mind do?

Lancashire Mind is an independent mental health charity that delivers life-changing and life-saving services to improve the mental health and well-being of people all over Lancashire. It delivers a host of services for adults, children and young people, including coaching sessions to increase well-being, confidence, and resilience. They also have a Bounce Forward programme in schools where children gain skills and strategies to carry with them throughout their lives. This work helps to alleviate the pressure on NHS services and prevents people from reaching crisis points.

Lancashire Mind's corporate fundraiser, Emma Broom, said: "We are so grateful to the team at Complete for putting their minds and bodies to the test and we wish them all the very best with conquering the Tough Mudder. They're raising vital funds to support our work which changes and saves lives.”

"It costs £2m per year to deliver our services so all fundraising efforts are incredibly important. We are so appreciative of Tom and the team at Complete for their ongoing support."

If you've been inspired to raise money for Lancashire Mind due to this event or your own personal experiences, please contact [email protected] to discuss how you can get involved.

How does your support help?

  • £10 could provide help for someone who is living with a mental health condition, allowing them to become an active member of the community.
  • £30 could allow someone with a mental health condition to receive support from a well-being coach.
  • £100 could provide someone who is moving to a Mind property with essentials such as kitchen items and towels.
  • £500 could be used to deliver community workshops, helping children look after their mental health.

Your generosity and support

We are incredibly proud to have supported this charity and are grateful for all of the generous donations we have received.

For Tough Mudder 2024, we are delighted to have raised £780, which will go straight to Lancashire Mind, allowing them to continue offering their fantastic services in the local community.
