Community Solutions North West has announced that Paul Counsell will be stepping down as chair of trustees.
During his time at the helm, Paul has been instrumental in guiding the charity’s growth and development, leading us to develop from a social enterprise into a registered charity.
He leaves a lasting legacy of leadership, vision, and commitment to the local community. His impact has been felt across every aspect of the organisation, from its charitable services to its future sustainability.
Paul is not saying goodbye just yet – he will continue to support the charity through the culmination of its Community Ownership Fund investment in restoring Elmfield Hall, our Grade II listed community hub, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity during these complex and important works.
David and Duncan, fellow trustees and close friends of Paul, said: "Paul has been an outstanding Chair and a great friend to us both. His leadership, wisdom and unwavering commitment have helped guide Community Solutions through some of its most important milestones. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done, and we know his legacy will continue to benefit the charity and our community for many years to come."
Whilst the organisation is sad to see Paul step back from the role, Community Solutions is delighted that Anna Rojek will be our new Chair of Trustees.
Anna joined the Board of Trustees 12 months ago, bringing a wealth of experience, energy, and a deep commitment to the charity’s mission of tackling loneliness and isolation, and improving health and wellbeing across East Lancashire.
As the charity looks to the future, Community Solutions is appealing for new trustees to join its Board.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a well-respected local organisation and to help shape its next chapter.
