Community Foundation in Downing Street visit

The Community Foundation for Lancashire held an evening reception at 10 Downing Street to showcase their work on behalf of charities, community groups and philanthropists to an invited audience of Lancashire’s business leaders, benefactors and donors.

Samantha Cameron, the PM’s wife, welcomed the guests before Cathy Elliott, chief executive of Community Foundation for Lancashire and Dennis Mendoros, managing director and founder of Kelbrook-based Euravia and a Community Foundation supporter, spoke of the importance of giving.

Cathy Elliott said: “We are dedicated to helping local people at a grassroots level and, since we launched in 2007, we have distributed over £3.6 million in grants and worked with over 700 community groups across Lancashire.
