Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall (WHN) Solicitors has strengthened its commercial property team with the appointment of an experienced new solicitor at its Blackburn office.

Amy Bellis has more than 10 years’ experience of advising clients on both residential and commercial property matters across the North West.

She previously worked at Bolton-headquartered Russell and Russell Solicitors, first joining the firm in 2014 as a conveyancing assistant, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2018.

Amy’s role at WHN will involve advising clients across the North West in all aspects of commercial property including new leases, lease renewals, land transactions for commercial developments, overage agreements and refinancing.

In addition to Amy’s arrival, Emily Newton has also joined us as a paralegal at our Blackburn office. Emily will help the firm’s commercial property team to prepare legal documents and support the team to provide exceptional client service.

Daniel Boulton, director in WHN’s commercial property team, said: “WHN’s commercial property team has seen significant development in recent years with an ever-growing, loyal client base across the full range of real estate legal matters.

"We are recognised as a leading provider in this area by both Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners and these new appointments will further strengthen the team.

“Our ethos is to give our clients access to the highest quality legal advisers based in the heart of the communities they live and operate in.

“Amy has a strong reputation for developing robust working relationships with clients and she holds a deep working knowledge and understanding of the North West property market.

"Emily’s appointment illustrates our desire to innovate in development and retention of talent and will support our service delivery, allowing our experts to focus on providing high-quality commercial property advice.”

Amy Bellis said: “WHN is known across the North West for building long-term relationships with clients – this is what attracted me to the company.

"The commercial property team is hugely experienced, advising on some of the most significant property transactions in the North West and I’m looking forward to working with them.”
