Bespoke lighting manufacturer Chantelle Lighting saw some of its fittings light up a Channel 4 home renovation programme this week.
Double Your House for Half the Money, which is presented by property developer Sarah Beeny, featured three generations of Osborne family from near Brentwood in Essex who were renovating a 1970s detached property which had been built by the owner’s grandfather.Nina and Neil Osborne had a budget of £150,000 to renovate the three bedroom house valued at £350,000. They wanted to create a six bedroom mansion which would have space for Nina’s mum, Carol and their children Daniel and Megan.
The double storey extension to the property included an open plan kitchen, dining room and family room. The final reveal of the refurbishment was left to the most poignant room in the house: Granddad’s room. This living room will be used by all the family to relax in and features a number of treasured photos of Granddad, as well as Chantelle Lighting’s floor and table lamps.
After going over budget to £200,000, the Osborne home has now been valued at £675,000. Chantelle Lighting managing director, Anthony Holly said: “When we were contacted by the research team from Double Your House for Half the Money about supplying lamps for the renovations at the Osborne family home, we were more than happy to help. We love the finished look in Granddad’s room and are sure the family will create many more happy memories in their new home.”
