Cassons unveils Christmas video

At Lancashire Business View we take business seriously, but we know how to smile. In fact, it's Rule 1 of our Red Rose Awards. So we are giving a big thumbs up to our friends at Cassons for their latest YouTube hit.

Cassons ChristmasThe clip features staff (including high-ranking partners) from the Haslingden-based accountants acting out a parody of Bonnie Tyler's 1980s karaoke classic Holding Out for a Hero.

It's not the first Cassons Christmas video, but it looks to be their biggest-budget offering to date, featuring the vocals of The Voice star Lareena Mitchell and acted out by local actress Emma Kenny. Rossendale's Shooters Media produced the video.

Managing Partner Les Nutter said: “Accountants tend to be stereotyped with a reputation for being a little dull but we think the reality can be quite different! Every Christmas we like to do something that is fun and a little bit outside of the norm. However, I have to say I hope we’ve surpassed ourselves with this year’s effort. I think it’s by far the best one we’ve done so far." The song tells the story of a fictitious client who is drowning under a mountain of paperwork. Cassons’ number-crunching superheroes then answer her SOS and come to the rescue. Great work guys.
