The third generation of the family-run Campbells Caravans dealership re-open its motorhome branch, just a few miles away from its caravan business.
Daniel and Mike are grandsons of Preston-born entrepreneur Barney Campbell who established the company in 1969.
Mike said: “We’re delighted to be returning to the motorhome market. It’s no secret that the leisure vehicle market suffered like so many other industries during the recession. We’ve been monitoring its performance for some time and have seen a slow but steady increase in demand.
Lee Roberts, national sales manager at Lunar, said: “Lunar and Campbells have a working relationship spanning 46 years – as long as both companies have been in business. They have our full support with this new venture and we are very happy for them to be approved dealers for the Landstar.” Leading the new motorhome team will be branch manager Neil Curtis, who has been with Campbells for six years. Returning to join Neil at Campbells Motorhomes will be former employee Jody White, who has a wealth of knowledge and over ten years experience in selling motorhomes.
