A former care home in a Rossendale village has been put on the market.
Christie & Co is handling the sale of the three-storey Grade II listed, brick-built character property dating back to 1863.
No sales figure has been put on the 11-bedrooms property but when it was previously on the market it had a reported value of £1.8m.
Formerly Ashlands Nursing Home, the building in Newchurch is described as having an abundance of original features and is set in two-and-a-half acres of private land.
Sam Fazackerley, business agent at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Ashlands represents an excellent chance to acquire a beautiful period detached property.
“Having previously been registered as a care setting, having C2 use, it could potentially once again be used as such, or converted back into residential accommodation, subject to any appropriate planning permissions being obtained.
“The property could also have potential as an SEN school, rehab facility or specialist care facility, subject to planning approval.”
