Businesswise have Christmas all wrapped up

Santa and his elves swapped the North Pole for Nelson on Friday as a present wrapping workshop was set up in an office on the Lomeshaye Industrial Estate.

The elves from Businesswise Solutions swapped their computers and spreadsheets of energy markets for Sellotape and wrapping paper as they set to work wrapping over 100 presents donated by members of the local business community.

The gifts, donated by members of the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and businesses at Bizspace in Nelson, will be delivered to the children currently being treated at Burnley and Blackburn hospitals.

“Our team of elves really got into the Christmas spirit wrapping these very special presents,” said Dean Cockett, director at Businesswise Solutions. “We’ve been overwhelmed with the response of local businesses in donating to our gift appeal. We’d like to say a very big thank you to each of them for making the initiative such a success and in hopefully putting a smile on the faces of the local children who will be spending this Christmas in hospital.” A team from Businesswise will be hand delivering the presents to the children’s wards at the two hospitals in the run up to Christmas.
