Business leaders toast new £1.5m facility at Accrington Stanley

Accrington Stanley FC has invested millions of pounds into the Wham Stadium, completely rebuilding the hospitality area into a state of the art facility for Coley's Bar and the 1968 Lounge. The next area for redevelopment was the changing room facilities, and a brand new VIP hospitality and seating area - and Accrington's business leaders were the first to be invited on a tour.

£1.5m has been spent just on this phase of development, which includes brand new changing facilities for the home and away teams, and an exclusive VIP area for small group hospitality - which includes deluxe seating pitch side to watch the match action in style.

Amazing Accrington business leaders were invited to take a tour of the facilities, and were also treated to breakfast, an update from David Burgess on plans for the club, and Miles Parkinson OBE on council plans for the borough. Murray Dawson also gave an update on Amazing Accrington events which are confirmed for 2023.

David Burgess, managing director of Accrington Stanley FC, commented: "Accrington Stanley always deliver, and we've invested millions in our facilities here for the benefit of the whole of Accrington. We're proud to be able to show it off to business leaders with Amazing Accrington." 

Sara Britcliffe, MP for Hyndburn and Haslingden added, "We really have lots going on in Hyndburn, with lots of new investment coming in. One thing that is complete and to a very high standard is the hospitality here at Accrington Stanley, it really is excellent and I encourage people to come and enjoy it!"

Coun Miles Parkinson, leader of Hyndburn Borough Council said "Amazing Accrington do a lot for our town, and it also gives us a chance to show everyone else what's great about Accrington. It's been good this morning to catch up with business leaders and discuss plans for the future."

Andrew Turner, MD of Pendle Hill Properties also added "Amazing Accrington really shows us what's great about Accrington, and one of them is the fantastic hospitality suite here at Accrington Stanley. I'm very impressed with the facilities!"
