Burnley College introduces AAT accreditation

Budding accountants will now have the opportunity to enhance their skills and extend their career prospects since Burnley College became an accredited Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) training provider.

AAT’s professional qualifications put students on the path to a successful and rewarding career in professional accountancy. AAT graduates go on to work at all levels and in all sectors of the economy, with many running their own accountancy practices or working for a FTSE 100 company.

After a rigorous verification process, Burnley College has been accredited to deliver Level 2 - 4 in Accountancy.

Hugh Bramwell, principal of Burnley College, said: “We are delighted that our accountancy tutors’ hard work and wealth of knowledge has been recognised by AAT. Vocational qualifications and apprenticeships, such as those offered by AAT, provide students with outstanding employment and career progression opportunities. Accountancy students at Burnley College will now be able to benefit from the expertise of our tutors to gain a qualification which will make employers take notice of them.” Jane Scott Paul, AAT chief executive, added: “Every business needs well trained finance staff and an AAT qualification demonstrates to a prospective employer that you have the skills to do the job. Gaining a recognised accountancy qualification with AAT is the first step into a professional finance career."
