A popular conference which brings together professionals from across the built environment sector will return this year to explore the potential impact of some of Lancashire’s biggest ever developments.

The Lancashire Built Environment Conference 2024 will take place on 25 September at a new venue - the iconic Winter Gardens Blackpool - and has a programme of interviews, debates, masterclasses and networking designed for all those that work in and support the sector and all those who are affected by its decisions and activities.

This year, there will be a special focus on the game-changing projects such as Eden Project Morecambe, Silicon Sands Blackpool, Lancaster’s Garden City, Station Gateway Preston, Blackburn’s masterplan, Lancashire Central and Farington Cricket and the county’s enterprise zones.

Following just a few months after the general election, experts will also give their view on what the results may mean locally and on a wider scale, as well as reviewing the progress of the Lancashire 2050 plan so far.

Guest speakers will also debate and share advice on key industry topics including ESG, skills, innovation, investment and supply chain opportunities.

The conference will be held in association with Blackpool & The Fylde College, Blackpool Makes It Work and Harrison Drury Solicitors.

John Chesworth, executive chairman of Harrison Drury who will speak at the event, said: “The Lancashire Built Environment Conference is always a great opportunity to come together with our regional property community to share knowledge, debate the issues that matter, and get our voices heard by policymakers.

“We’re proud to be supporting the event again this year and look forward to learning more about Lancashire’s many game-changing developments.”

Sarah Hall, Director, B&FC for business commented: ““Blackpool and the Fylde College is proud to announce its role as the headline sponsor for the upcoming Lancashire Business View Built Environment Conference in September.

“As a leading institution in technical education, we are committed to supporting the county’s growth and development. Together, we’re building a brighter future for Lancashire.”

Stephen Bolton, managing director of Lancashire Business View, said: “The built environment plays an integral role in the county’s future economic success. We know that there are many exciting developments on the horizon, and our conference will bring together the most informed and experienced commentators to discuss how the county and its businesses can capitalise on them.

“There is also plenty of advice and networking opportunities and is not to be missed for anybody working in or around the sector.”

Further details, including guest speakers and the masterclass topics, will be revealed in due course.

Tickets are £50+VAT and include light breakfast, refreshments and lunch with full access to the event including exhibition, networking and conference can be purchased here - https://www.lancashirebusinessview.co.uk/lancashire-business-events-calendar/lancashire-built-environment-conference

The event will be reviewed in full in Lancashire Business View’s Property Report in our November-December edition and shared with our 50,000 readers in print and online.
