One of the UK's leading providers of racking, shelving and archive storage solutions has signed up to sponsor a new category at the Red Rose Awards.

Brysdales, based in Chorley, has been announced as backing the inaugural ‘Transport and Logistics’ category at the prestigious ceremony.

The awards, now in their 15th year, will be announced at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on March 13, 2025. They are presented by Lancashire Business View.

Elizabeth Porter, managing director at Brysdales, was ‘extremely proud’ to be sponsoring the award.

She said: “Transport and logistics play a vital part in the business success of the county and it is entirely right that the Red Rose Awards now have a separate category to showcase and recognise the innovation, talent and achievement of the sector.

“For more than five decades Brysdales has been committed to delivering the highest standards in safe and efficient storage solutions for logistics warehousing.

“We are delighted to now also be a part of the excellence journey of the Red Rose Awards.”

There are 23 different categories this year to enter and the deadline for nominations is midnight December 13.

Entries are open now for the awards and the ‘Transport and Logistics’ category recognises firms including freight forwarders, logistics providers, transportation companies, warehousing businesses and in-house logistics teams.

Joanne Hindley, sales director for Lancashire Business View,  said: “Every year, we add new elements as we have an obsession to keep the Red Rose Awards fresh.

“We will only bring a new category in when there is a real need to do it.

“But transport and logistics is one of the key parts of our Lancashire economy, so it is only right to shine the spotlight on some of the firms leading the way.

“We are very grateful to Brysdales for coming on board and supporting us and the Red Rose Awards.”

The Red Rose Awards are in association with Forbes Solicitors and Barclays. The judging partner is Burnley College and the validation partner is RSM.

The Awards are sponsored by +24, Bigtank, Burnley Football Club, Campbell and Rowley, Chorley Council, Community & Business Partners, Cube HR, Cube Thinking, Farleys Solicitors, Harrison Drury Solicitors, Mytton Fold Hotel, Napthens Group, Nybble, PDS Engineering, Peter Scott Printers, Pierce, PM+M, Porsche Centre Preston, Sales Geek, Sowena Group, TalentEdge, The Fun Experts, Trident Utilities, University of Central Lancashire.
