Bowker Motor Group has secured the franchise rights to represent Chinese automotive brand LEPAS, launched by Chery, one of China's largest car manufacturers, with dealerships set to open in Blackburn and Preston.
LEPAS will launch in the UK this summer with a range of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
Bowker LEPAS Preston will initially operate from a temporary site on Channel Way while plans progress for a permanent location.
In Blackburn, Bowker will establish a new showroom to support the introduction of the brand.
The group will recruit sales-related roles across both locations as preparations continue ahead of the launch.
John Nichol, head of business at Bowker, said: "LEPAS brings something different to the market, with hybrid and electric vehicles, distinctive design and real elegance.”
The first model to arrive will be the LEPAS L8 premium SUV, followed by the L6 mid-size SUV and the city-focused L4 SUV.
John added: "LEPAS gives us the opportunity to offer another option from an established global manufacturer and introduce a new brand to motorists across Lancashire."
