The North & Western Lancashire (NWL) Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that James Hall & Co. Ltd. will be hosting one of the Chamber’s ‘Meet the Buyer’ sessions on May 18th 2021.

Designed to offer its members valuable networking and procurement opportunities, local suppliers are invited to speak with James Hall & Co. Ltd.’s trading team who are responsible for procuring product ranges for 600 independent and company owned SPAR stores.

Andrew Barnes, trading director at James Hall & Co. said: “If the last twelve months has taught us anything it’s the importance of local family businesses supporting one another.

“Across our group of companies – SPAR, Clayton Park Bakery, Fazila Foods and Graham Eyes High Class Butchers – we’ve always tried to work with local suppliers, however big or small; but it’s now more vital than ever. It puts money back into local communities, helps reduce food miles in the supply chain, minimises environmental impact and helps develop sustainable, long-term partnerships.

“We look forward to working with the Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and its members and hopefully we’ll find a few new local gems to stock in our stores.”

The NWL Chamber of Commerce is the largest private sector business support organisation in Lancashire.  Established in 1916, the Chamber works tirelessly to represent, support, and promote its 1,600 members.

Babs Murphy, chief executive at NWL Chamber of Commerce, said: “The pandemic has had a considerable impact on many different types of business across Lancashire. The Chamber’s intentions for 2021 are to support our members, ensure their recovery is strong and assist them with future-proofing their business as much as possible.

“One of our key priorities is to further create an appetite for local companies to support each other by buying locally, and we are grateful to James Hall & Co. for working with the Chamber to support this aim and promote our shared values.

“In 2020, Lancashire made it in to the top ten places in the UK for new company formations with Preston topping the county table. Our packed programme of events, many of which are free to attend and exclusive to members, will support business growth across the county. These events include virtual ‘Meet the Buyer’ sessions, ‘Get Informed Seminars’ open networking events, sporting events, and much more.”

Chamber membership starts from just £99+VAT per year, for the basic package.  Membership is open and relevant to all sizes and sectors of businesses who are committed to seeing strong growth.  Email [email protected] for more information or visit https://www.lancschamber.co.uk/
