Are you looking to build a world-class HR team to deliver your people strategy? Or perhaps you're in a position where you are looking to upskill for the benefit of your own career. We have a range of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualifications starting soon which we think would be perfect for you.

CIPD qualifications are the recognised professional standard for HR and training specialists working across the UK's public, private and charity sectors. A CIPD-qualified HR team will make your recruitment and onboarding process much smoother, giving you a great reputation and marking you out as a desirable employer to new candidates.

Here's the story of CIPD Level 5 and Level 7 student Faye Billington...

Faye said: “I have had a great experience of Blackburn University Centre through studying my CIPD Level 5 and now my CIPD Level 7. I’ve developed good relationships with the tutors and also enjoyed the format and organisation of the lessons.

“It’s also very convenient that Blackburn University Centre is a training provider for CIPD as this allowed me the flexibility to study whilst maintaining a career.

“I have enjoyed the assessments and the modules are varied, which not only provides a personal challenge, but enables learners to demonstrate a broader range of skills and work collaboratively with the group. Equally, the learning environment offers a great forum for sharing knowledge and experiences with other learners in similar positions from different sectors.

“Studying my CIPD at Levels 5 and 7 has enabled me to reflect on my current practice and assist in the transition towards strategic thinking. The range of topics studied provides a platform to explore strategic perspectives and the confidence to handle complex people management cases which can be applied to the workplace.”

She added: “In addition, the professional accreditation with CIPD allows learners to benchmark their practice against the professional standards, as well as providing credibility. Furthermore, the ability to study part-time allows great flexibility for those working in demanding and fast-paced environments.

“Having studied with Blackburn University Centre for a number of years, the tutors have been extremely supportive and are able to provide great examples of applying theory to the workplace in real life situations. I have had the opportunity to work with several tutors for a number of years which has really helped create a friendly and warm atmosphere within the learning environment.

“After studying for almost two years at Level 7, I will look to use the knowledge and skills I have gained during the course and apply this to my general practice within the workplace.”
