Blackpool IT support company sees significant growth through lockdown

CompTech IT Solutions, based in Blackpool on the Fylde Coast, offers a wide range of digital and IT support services. Working with individuals, businesses, charities and schools; offering services from remote working support, to online security and cloud support. 

CompTech is a local company, started and grown on the Fylde Coast. Established back in 2008, the company previously provided support mainly to the education sector, for clients such as multi-academy trusts. Today, the business has evolved organically and has found increasing success from support packages aimed at B2B clients in the private sector, although CompTech offer a very diverse range of IT and digital services. The team at CompTech now support over 2,000 devices on a daily basis.

The company offer everything from onsite IT support or remote working support, CCTV installation online security, cloud support, managing wireless networks, backups, disaster recovery and Microsoft 365. 

Each service offered by CompTech is managed and performed in-house, without the use subcontractors. The team have a really strong set of skills in their portfolio. The company offer staff awareness training and have a highly-skilled workforce which has been fundamental to their success.

Growth through COVID

Mark Hope, founder of Comptech IT Solution said: "It’s been a really successful year for us, turnover has increased by 30%, which was surprising during Covid-19, but also was a result of people needing more remote support."

The increase in business has happened organically and the team at CompTech are scaling up to meet the growing demands from new clients in Blackpool, and across the North West. The company have recently onboarded another two businesses in Preston, indicating a very positive 2021 for CompTech.
