Blackburn software firm acquires its premises

Stevens Traceability Systems of Greenbank Technology Park, Blackburn has purchased its 10,000 sq ft premises which it has operated for the last 25 years.

The Blackburn firm develops software in-house which complements their weighing and traceability systems used by leading food manufacturers across the UK and Ireland. They employ over 50 people, many from Blackburn and the surrounding areas.

Unfortunately, Blackburn recently missed out on city status, however, with its local talent, industrial heritage, and famous landmarks including Cathedral and Ewood Park, the traceability software experts could think of nowhere better to secure their future than Blackburn.

Mike Wynburg, managing director, says: “Despite an unpredictable time over the last couple of years with the global pandemic, we now want to show our staff and customers our commitment to providing a place of work for local people. Our fantastic team is central to all the work we do which is reflected in the products and services we provide.”

The firm is currently recruiting for several roles and has ambitions to grow the business over the coming years further strengthening commerce in Blackburn.
