Bensons for Beds returns to Burnley with six-figure investment in new store

Bensons for Beds has returned to Burnley after a six-year absence with the opening of a new 8,173 sq ft store at Prestige Retail Park.

The new store, which officially opened on Friday 17 July, represents a six-figure investment from the specialist bed and mattress retailer and has created five new local jobs, including one store manager role, two full-time roles and two part-time roles.

The opening marks an important Lancashire milestone for Bensons. Burnley will be the closest Bensons for Beds store to the company’s Accrington headquarters, just nine miles away, and is also only a five-minute walk from the retailer’s customer contact centre at Kingsway House in Burnley town centre, which opened in April 2025.

The new Burnley store was officially opened by the Mayor of Burnley, Cllr Saeed Chaudhary, who joined local Bensons colleagues for a ribbon-cutting to mark the occasion.

Burnley had been identified as one of the largest UK markets where Bensons did not have store representation.
