Becky Toal, managing director and founder of Crowberry Consulting, has received an honour in the form of Inspirational Woman in STEM at the House of Lords, London.
The awards, sponsored by Baroness Sandy Verma and Roni Savage, aim to encourage more females to work in STEM subjects and remain in STEM careers.
The idea behind the awards comes from the Rose Review into female entrepreneurship which concluded that if more women set up businesses and ran business billions could be added to the UK economy.
Becky Toal said: "It's great to be recognised as a female business owner working in STEM, as I have over 20 years of environmental management and sustainability management experience, backed up with three science degrees.
"I am looking forward to coaching/mentoring one of the young STEM ambassadors which is a key part of this programme."
