Red Rose Awards stage

The clock is ticking to get your entries in for Lancashire Business View’s Red Rose Awards.

The awards, now in its 15th year, will be held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on March 13 and is a celebration of business across the county.

There are 23 categories this year to enter and the deadline for nominations for the award is midnight December 13.

BAE Systems is the latest firm to be supporting the awards after being named as sponsor of the ESG category.

The multinational aerospace, defence and information security company employs more than 11,000 people in its Lancashire operations.

Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View has launched a rallying call for the county’s top businesses to shout about their firms.

He said: “Lancashire has some of the best businesses flying the flag on a local, national, and international stage.

“Every one of them has a story to tell and we want to hear about your successes in the area.

“Don’t be shy and submit your entry to be in the running for a great night in Blackpool.”

Paul Earnshaw, head of communications – sustainability and community investment at BAE Systems, said: “It’s great to be involved in this year’s Red Rose Awards, especially supporting the ESG category.

“The ESG agenda is hugely important to BAE Systems and our people, so to sponsor this category, and help recognise businesses, and people, from across the county doing great things to improve the environment or having a positive impact on our community, is something we are proud to do.

“BAE Systems has a long and proud heritage in Lancashire and it’s not only home to some of our major sites and thousands of our colleagues but also to a significant number of companies in our supply chain.

“Being involved in the Red Rose Awards, the county’s premier business awards, is an opportunity for us to help recognise the amazing organisations and people from across the county.

“I am looking forward to seeing the brilliant work businesses are doing around the ESG agenda and hopefully discovering a few things we can learn from.”

Richard added: “This shows the Red Rose Awards are the hottest ticket in town by getting one of Lancashire’s top employers to get behind it.

“It is great to be working with them especially supporting the ESG category which is close to their values and beliefs.”

The Red Rose Awards are in association with Forbes Solicitors and Barclays. The judging partner is Burnley College, and the validation partner is RSM.
