The Applebridge Family, a leading name in the construction industry has chosen Chorley as the base of its North West operations as part of its ongoing strategic expansion.

With a target of £10m in revenue during its first year in the North West, the Chorley office will serve as the headquarters for Applebridge's regional team.

The business is actively recruiting additional talent, including a commercial director to support its growing client base and project portfolio.

Applebridge has taken over the first floor at Balmoral House, Ackhurst Business Park, Chorley.

Northern Trust has announced that the 1,263 sq ft modern office suite has been leased on a five-year agreement and marks the latest addition to the park’s vibrant business community.

Chris Brown, managing director of Applebridge said: “This is an exciting time for the Applebridge Family.

“Our growth strategy has always centred around building strong regional teams—and the north west is no exception. With the appointments of Paul Troubridge as north west projects director and John Kiernan as north West construction director, we have an incredibly strong foundation to deliver exceptional results in this dynamic region.”

Paul Troubridge said: “The North West is brimming with opportunity.

“We’re actively pursuing major frameworks and contracts that will allow us to establish long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.”

Ackhurst Business Park is widely recognised as one of Lancashire’s premier business destinations.

Spanning over 83,000 sq ft, the Park offers a wide range of high-specification office accommodation—ranging from flexible suites of 250 sq ft to self-contained pavilion buildings of up to 6,020 sq ft—across 16 contemporary buildings, all set in beautifully landscaped, professionally maintained grounds.

Lizzie Roper, asset manager at Northern Trust, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Applebridge Family to Ackhurst Business Park.

"Their decision to establish their north west headquarters here reflects the high-quality environment and strategic location the Business Park offers. With excellent transport connectivity and modern office space, Ackhurst continues to attract leading organisations looking to grow their regional presence.”

The Applebridge Family, a leading name in the UK construction industry, has chosen Chorley as the base for its North West operations as part of its ongoing strategic expansion. The new office opening follows the launch of a Midlands base in Alfreton and two further locations for their Geoenvironmental division in 2023.

Ackhurst Business Park is located just one mile from Chorley town centre, with quick access to the M6, M61, and M65 motorways. It also benefits from proximity to Chorley and Euxton railway stations, offering direct connections to Manchester and the national rail network.
