Another trophy for CUBE HR as they win at the Hive Awards

Burnley-based CUBE HR have won Micro Business of the Year at the Hive awards, beating fierce competition from 6 other businesses to add another trophy to their cabinet less than a month after winning Service Business of the Year at the BIBAs.

The Hive Awards took place on 14th October 2021 at King Georges Hall in Blackburn.  The glitzy event was hosted by Trevor Jordan with Ian Brown, Chairman of the HIVE Business Network opening proceedings.  It was attended by over 300 people, including The Mayor, Councillor Derek Hardman.

Now in their 9th year, the Hive awards showcase the very best in business across the Blackburn and Darwen area and are open to all businesses that have benefited from working in the region.

Presenting CUBE HR with their award was Jimmy King, managing director of Pierce Business Advisory and Chartered Accountants.

Jimmy shared: “The judges were so impressed with the CUBE HR ethos, philosophy and pledge to support their clients during a challenging 18 months helping over 60 local businesses for free with their invaluable HR advice as businesses tried to overcome the challenges of furlough and survival.

"CUBE HR is investing in itself to further support clients with the launch of new apps, new software and in growing the team with new appointments and with significant profit growth of 124 per cent this micro business of the year is certainly one to watch.”

CUBE’s managing director Lisa Sourbutts said, “We are absolutely over the moon to win a HIVE Award, we were up against some tough competition so would like to thank the judges for choosing us.

"We are proud of what we do every day, but to have others recognise what we do as award-winning, is priceless to us. I’m blessed to work with the most amazing team and we have the best clients too."

CUBE provides expert HR and employment law support to businesses that are not large enough to have their own in-house HR team or need some additional support for larger scale projects.

They have gone from strength to strength this year more than doubling their turnover and profit over the last 12 months. In September Lisa also won the HR Hero Award at The Freshies and they are finalists for many more awards yet to come.
