An Interview with our new graduate recruitment consultant Erin McKnight

Meet Erin Mcknight who joined us on Monday 22nd February on our Graduate Scheme as one of our newly appointment Recruitment Consultants. We interviewed Erin to find a little more out about her and what she’s most looking forward to in her role.

Home-town – Lancaster (However, all of my family are Scottish!)

Current location – Lancaster

How long have you worked in recruitment or what did you do before this role? – This is my first job since graduating from university

What specifically attracted you to work within Legal Recruitment? – I was apprehensive about any form of recruitment role because I’ve had some bad experiences with recruiters in the past. When I talked to Siobhan, though, I was so excited by how different Eventus seemed to be, about how much of a difference good recruitment work can make. Although it’s only my first week, Legal Recruitment feels like a sector that never has dull day – there’s always a new sector to explore and understand!

What are you most looking forward to in your role? – I’m looking forward to being able to help people get the most out of their careers. I’m a firm believer that people should have a good, fair, and enjoyable working life. If I can help someone secure that, or even better that, I know I’ve done a good job.

What areas will you be covering? – I’m going back to my university roots, so I’ll be specialising in placing people in London, Kent, and Surrey.

One crazy fact about yourself that you dare share? – I once beat The Hobbit in a drinking competition. You’ll have to pop an email over to me to find out more about that experience, though!
