AMC Group creates 100 jobs with £11m food factory

Spain-based AMC Group has created 100 jobs in Skelmersdale with the opening of a £11m factory purpose-built to produce freshly-squeezed juice and a variety of healthy foods.

Construction of the new 55,000 sq ft site began in February 2018 and production of dairy-free products, baby food and soups started in August.

After further development, the new juice facility has recently begun production, and is now capable of squeezing 960 oranges per minute. Six extractors are able to deliver 50 per cent of fruit weight as juice.
