Lancashire Bombers touchdown as partners of Amazing Accrington minibus

Lancashire Bombers, the American flag football team based in Oswaldtwistle, are the latest community group to have partnered with #AmazingAccrington on their exciting new minibus.

Sponsored by Scott Dawson Advertising and iMEP International Music Event Production, the minibus will now be used by Lancashire Bombers to travel to and from games, something which can usually be very costly for local community teams.

Lancashire Bombers currently have two adult teams and a mixed Under 17 team, who compete all over the country in the BAFA (British American Football Association) League and Cups.

The 17-seater minibus is already being used by Clayton Boxing Club, Accrington Pipe Band, Great Harwood Rovers, Oswaldtwistle St. Paul Scout Group, Accrington Stanley Women, Maundy Relief, Accrington Cricket Club, and the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust.

Murray Dawson, chair of #AmazingAccrington and managing director of Scott Dawson Advertising, said: “The whole idea of this minibus was to support our local community, and it is great to see more partners joining us.

“Travelling to sports fixtures can be costly for local sports teams and Lancashire Bombers will really reap the benefits of using our minibus.”

Eddy O’Brien, CEO of iMEP, said: “It is great to see more and more local community groups taking advantage of this resource.

“A lot of our local sports clubs are run by volunteers and being able to use our minibus will support them massively.”
