It’s been another successful year for top-rated home care provider Alcedo Care Group.

Consistently rated one of the best in the UK, the independently-owned and family run company, that has a number of offices in Lancashire, is reporting a record year, with turnover up 70 per cent from £14m to £24m (year ending March 2023).

Organic growth from its 18 existing busy offices across the North of England and Wales, additional growth from new office openings and the addition of new business streams such as live-in care, complex care and children’s services have all contributed to record breaking financial results, with the Group firmly on track to achieve its forecasted turnover of £36m by March 2024.

Coinciding with a successful year-end, Alcedo Care has now moved to a new wholly-owned head office building on Slaidburn Crescent in Southport.

Representing a £1m investment, the office becomes the base for the Group’s growing team and home to a superb new academy facility that can host 70 people for training and team-building sessions.

Managing director at Alcedo Care Group, Andy Boardman, commented: “Demand for quality care services at home continues to grow and I am delighted to be able to report another successful year for the group.

“Our 1,000-strong team is now delivering approximately one million care hours annually across the North of England and Wales, enriching the lives of individuals who wish to remain in their own homes and supporting those with increasingly complex care and mental health needs.

“People are at the heart of what we do and the care that we deliver, so we will continue to invest in our employee team, developing their careers and enhancing our head office and support facilities to provide the best possible environment in which they can thrive.

"We are excited about our growth and expansion plans for the next 12 months which will cement Alcedo Care Group being the biggest and best home care provider in the North of England and Wales.”

Alcedo Care Group continues to champion careers in care and is aiming to recruit more than 1,000 new carers to its team by the end of March 2024.  It also continues to expand at pace, with 10 new office openings planned this year and next and a further extension of its geographic presence into new areas including Yorkshire and the North East.

Recently rated one of the Top 20 large home care groups for all ages for the third year running, Alcedo Care offers Domiciliary Care Services, Live-in Care, Nurse-Led Complex Care Services, Supported Living and Children’s Services.  It has established an enviable reputation as the home care provider of choice.

The family owned and operated group is on track to meet its phase one growth target of operating 30 branches across the North of England and Wales by the end of 2025.  Alongside its geographical expansion plans, the innovative Group is also on track with its mission to continually expand its portfolio of quality home care services, with a particular emphasis on developing its Complex Care and Live-in Care provision.
