Aircelle appoints new MD
Stéphane Cueille has been appointed managing director for Aircelle, Burnley's largest private sector employer.The 40-year-old is an engineering graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics. He will report directly to Aircelle's CEO Vincent Mascré.
“Stéphane Cueille brings extensive experience in jet engine engineering. His expertise will be valuable as Aircelle positions itself as an industry leader in integrated propulsion systems,” said Vincent Mascré. “Of particular importance, his international profile will be an advantage for our Burnley business unit development.”Aircelle manufactures large and small nacelles, thrust reversers and aerostructures for a variety of planes, from business jets such as Gulfstream V and Learjet 200 through to long range craft such as the Airbus A330 and A380. The company employs around 700 and ranked 20th on Lancashire Business View's list of the red rose county's highest grossing companies with sales of £134m, and pre-tax profits of £6.25m.
