Blackburn independent family-run jewellery store Ainsworth Jewellers, is proud to celebrate 60 years at its Darwen Street premises.

It marks a remarkable legacy that now spans 155 years in business and five generations of family dedication.

From its beginnings in 1870, Ainsworth Jewellers has remained a cornerstone of Blackburn’s community and retail landscape.

Since opening on Darwen Street in 1965, the business has grown to become a trusted name for exquisite jewellery, bespoke craftsmanship and exceptional client service.

Founded by Joseph Ainsworth, the business has evolved through generations adapting to change while staying true to traditional values of honesty, craftsmanship and care.

Today, under the leadership of fifth generation’s, Phil Ainsworth and his wife, Helen Dimmick, the jewellers continue to blend heritage with modern design and innovation, offering bespoke creations, valuations and a stunning collection of top brands; all delivered with the personal service that has defined Ainsworth Jewellers for over a century and a half.

Phil Ainsworth, owner, said: “Reaching 60 years on Darwen Street feels both humbling and inspiring.

"We’ve seen generations of families come through our doors for engagements, anniversaries and celebrations.

"Families have stayed with us for all the key moments in their lives which we are fiercely proud of.

"This milestone is about honouring their trust and renewing our commitment to Blackburn for the years ahead.”

To mark this extraordinary milestone, Ainsworth Jewellers is also launching an exciting competition offering customers and the wider community the chance to win a stunning three-stone round brilliant cut lab-grown diamond ring.

The exquisite piece features a 1.55ct centre diamond with two shoulder diamonds weighing 0.60ct each, all D Colour, VVS clarity, set in platinum and worth £2,400.

Symbolically, the bespoke ring has been specially created to celebrate 155 years of Ainsworth Jewellers and 60 years on Darwen Street reflecting the company’s enduring brilliance, craftsmanship and connection to its community.
