AG: Northern roots with national reach

With the development and launch of the company’s new website and a recruitment drive for more staff to help support the strategic growth plans of the ambitious business, North West Project and Building Consultancy Anderton Gables (AG) is spreading its northern roots to achieve greater reach over the coming months.

Big ambitions

With sights set on doubling in size over the next three years, Andrew Whittle, AG’s finance and training director, said: “Despite Covid, 20/21 has been our strongest year with 25 per cent growth across the business and an even stronger pipeline of work set for 21/22.

“As our company continues to grow and we win more new business from national clients such as Boohoo, SIG and DHL, it’s essential that we service our clients with exceptional professionals from within our industry.

“We have a growth plan to achieve £5m turnover in the next three years and as such we will have key positions available.

“We’re all hugely excited for this growth period and are incredibly proud of our Northern roots and the work we do here with our clients. As a growing business we see the opportunities available across the rest of the UK and know that AG has the drive, capabilities and reach to be part of these.”

Sarah Walker, who was recently appointed as head of marketing and business development, has been brought onboard to develop bespoke strategies to generate new business opportunities, as well as create and manage the businesses marketing strategy.

Sarah joins Anderton Gables after running her own marketing agency for 14 years and working with a multitude of clients from both the public and private sector across the UK.

To support ambitious individuals, the business has developed the AG Academy to create bespoke personal development plans for service specific and soft skills, including targeted management training to help staff progress quickly providing them with opportunities and support.

Regional expansion

With headquarters in Preston and offices in Manchester city centre and Sheffield, the practice plans to open more offices to service its growing client base and team.

With the plans to grow throughout the company, the co-founders are determined not to lose sight of the all important values that underpin the organisation.

Jonathan Shaw, managing director commented: “Building our brand around relationships and excellent communication is something that underpins who we are and what we stand for at AG. Like many northerners we like to see ourselves as being down to earth and having fun whilst being professional in the delivery of our services.

“We have built a strong culture around building relationships, going the extra mile, empowering and developing our team as well as choosing positivity in all that we do and we want to continue to grow outwards from the North West.”
