Adam promoted to partner at Moore and Smalley

North West accountancy firm Moore and Smalley has promoted one of its longest serving staff members to the role of partner.

Adam Parton joined the firm as an 18-year-old accounts trainee in 1993 and has worked his way up to the top after more than two decades of advising local businesses.

As part of his promotion to partner, Adam, 39, will also lead Moore and Smalley’s specialist payroll team at its Lancaster and Preston offices.

He said: “I’m incredibly proud to make the partnership and pleased that many of the clients I started working with as a teenager are still with the firm today. We have a great team and I’ve made so many good friends and contacts along the way. Moore and Smalley keeps on growing and developing and I’m sure I will continue to enjoy assisting local business owners for many years to come.”

Graham Gordon, managing partner at Moore and Smalley, said: “Adam’s financial expertise coupled with his strong local knowledge and contacts has made him indispensable to our clients. This promotion is well deserved and shows our commitment to developing people, many of whom stay with us throughout their careers.” Adam, who was previously a director at the firm, specialises in advising owner-managed businesses and SMEs and has particular expertise in assisting hospitality and leisure businesses.
