Accrington Stanley Women have announced that iMEP International Music Event Production will be the club’s brand new front of shirt sponsor on a three-year deal.

The agreement will see iMEP sponsor shirts across Accrington Stanley Women’s age groups, which includes over 220 players, from junior level right through to open age.

iMEP are already stand sponsors at Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium and are also arena sponsors at nearby Accrington Cricket Club.

As part of the new deal, Accrington Stanley Women unveiled their brand new home kit, which pays homage to the Accrington Pals, with the Pals marching into battle and the Accrington Pals logo featured on the front of the shirt.

The Accrington Pals saw groups of friends from all walks of life in Accrington and its neighbouring towns enlisted together to form a battalion at the start of World War I. In its first major action, the battalion suffered devastating losses in the attack on Serre on 1st July 1916, the opening day of the Battle of the Somme.

Produced by Macron, Accrington Stanley Women will proudly wear the shirts throughout the 2024-25 season. Available in women’s fit, the new home shirt, plus the new Tiffany-glass inspired blue and yellow away top, and Accrington Market-inspired black and grey third shirt, can be pre-ordered online from 10am on Thursday 22nd August 2024: https://asw.secure-decoration.com/

A special teaser and announcement video was produced by the club to announce the partnership between iMEP and Accrington Stanley Women featuring equipment representing iMEP including smoke machines, iMEP sound decks, lighting and much more.

Sami Smithson, chairperson of Accrington Stanley Women, said: “This is the beginning of a fantastic new partnership and we can’t thank Eddy and his team enough for their support. This is the largest deal in Accrington Stanley Women’s history, and matches any Championship front of shirt deal, so we can progress the development of women’s football.

“It is great to have an international music company, based in Accrington, on board as front of shirt sponsors, and the players had so much fun filming the launch video at Scott Dawson Studios.”

Eddy O’Brien, CEO of iMEP, said: “It is a real honour for us to announce this new deal with Accrington Stanley Women, a fantastic community club.

“It will be amazing to see over 220 players wearing our brand and we hope it can inspire even more players to join the Accrington Stanley Women pathway in the future.”

iMEP are the latest Hyndburn based business to support Accrington Stanley Women, joining Sundown Solutions who are back of shirt sponsors for the 2024/25 season, HML Recycling and many more.

Offering everything from lighting, sound, staging and special effects, to fully managed music and theatre event production, iMEP regularly work with stars around the world and are hosting the iMEP Music Festival on Saturday 21st September at Accrington Cricket Club, headlined by global superstar Jess Glynne.
