Accrington Stanley have announced the appointment of Warren Eastham as the club’s new commercial director.

Warren joins Stanley with extensive experience in sales and commercial and he will now oversee a number of key areas at the club including sponsorships, events, brand partnerships and more.

Stanley’s new commercial director will also be heavily involved with the club’s world class hospitality venue, including the 1968 Lounge, Coley’s, matchday experience, matchday hospitality, sponsorships, conferences and events, plus much more, with the long term sustainability of the club a key focus.

Warren will also oversee the club’s commercial team, as well as marketing, while player sponsorships and board sponsorships will also come under Warren’s remit, together with commercial manager Lynn Donohoe, with a number of opportunities for businesses to advertise at the Wham Stadium.

Having worked in sales since he was 16, Stanley’s new commercial director has a real appetite to work with local businesses, both small and large, on the different ways they can work with the club.

Warren is no stranger to Accrington Stanley, having played in exhibition cricket matches against the club in the past, with the new Stanley man having been an avid cricketer for almost 50 years. He is now looking forward to putting his time and passion into supporting the club.

Warren Eastham, commercial director at Accrington Stanley, said: “It's a privilege to work for such a historic club and one of the founder members of the Football League.

“The community is at the heart of everything that we do here and I want to create an environment here where people feel welcome and want to come in and enjoy what we can give them, providing the best facilities, making it affordable for them, while the club continues to prosper.

“Over the last nine years Andy Holt has put £35m worth of business into the town, and with other businesses contributing too, the football club is crucially important to a town like Accrington. It is important that businesses continue to support us, but they can only do that when we give them the right facilities to use and provide them with the hospitality environment that we have got.

“I am thoroughly looking forward to the new challenge ahead and to working with such a great group of people.”

Andy Holt, chairman of Accrington Stanley, said: “I have known Warren for a long time, we are thrilled to welcome him to Accrington Stanley, his track record speaks for itself and we are looking forward to seeing him take our commercial business to the next level.”
