Accountants open new Garstang office

A long-established local firm of chartered certified accountants has expanded the practice with brand new offices in Garstang town centre.

Towers and Gornall has taken an additional 1,658 sq ft, the whole second floor office above the retail units adjoining Booths foodstore at Cherestanc Square, across the road from its existing branch at Abacus House, The Ropewalk.

The accountancy firm which has been assisting the local community for over 60 years, takes the office space on a new lease from landlord E H Booth & Co. Robert Pinkus & Co acted on behalf of the landlord.

Mick Gornall, director at Towers and Gornall said, “We have been in need of additional office space for some time as more clients, both existing and new, are asking us to assist them with their bookkeeping and VAT requirements. The use of cloud based software, such as FreeAgent, has enabled us to take on the extra work, but the additional office space above Booths has allowed us to appoint the extra staff members which we also needed. Within the last two months alone, we have taken on six full time staff from Garstang and the surrounding area.

“As well as offices and workstations for up to sixteen members of staff, the new office will also incorporate a dedicated training room. This will enable us to demonstrate to clients how the software works and why we think it can improve their business.

“The location of the office is ideal and the whole process was made easy for us by Joe and the team at Robert Pinkus.” Joe Assalone, partner at Robert Pinkus “We are delighted to welcome Towers and Gornall to the development at Cherestanc Square. They join local solicitors Harrison Drury in the complex and we are pleased to report that more tenants are lined up to take the remaining space. “
