50 shades of green

As an innovative company pioneering the use of cutting edge LED lighting solutions across the UK and Europe, we have helped all types of business reduce their energy bills, maintenance costs and footprints over the last few years.

By Phil Griffiths, Allied Lighting.

Through this regular column, we will give examples of successful projects to give you some insight into the real-world benefits that businesses like yours are enjoying. To begin with, allow me to walk you through the five stages of implementing the solution, whatever shade of green you’re aiming for.

Through this regular column, we will give examples of successful projects to give you some insight into the real-world benefits that businesses like yours are enjoying. To begin with, allow me to walk you through the five stages of implementing the solution, whatever shade of green you’re aiming for.

Initial consultation

The first stage is to review your current situation and calculate where energy can be saved. Rather than buying the best-sounding product, a detailed site survey will highlight which measures will have the biggest benefit for you. We have developed our own iPad application to give the most accurate reports.

Report and design

Before making any commitments, ensure you understand your current energy consumption, as well as the proposed energy and carbon savings. If there is an installation cost, remember to factor this in to your decision, as well as any cost analysis, payback period available to you.

Financial modelling

Financing new technologies can be a challenge, whether your project is big or small. Some customers have a budget in mind, whereas others like to be presented with a range of options from which to choose.

Implementation

Once you have selected your design and financing option, your new products will be installed and Allied will remove and recycle your old products another shade of green.

Project support

Installation shouldn’t be the final stage of your purchase – for peace of mind you should ensure your supplier offers on-site support, for this reason all our products carry a 5yr warranty.
