350 jobs saved at Preston gaming firm
Sceptre Leisure, which previously ranked in Lancashire Business View's Hot 100, has completed a pre-pack sale to a German-owned group.

The purchase of assets by the Gauselmann Group should safeguard 350 jobs.
Restructuring and corporate finance firm Duff & Phelps said in a statement: "Certain companies within the group were placed into administration on 11 February at which point the core trading businesses and a number of subsidiary shareholdings were sold to ADP Gauselmann UK Limited. The businesses have continued to trade and there have been no redundancies as a result of the process."Jürgen Stühmeyer, member of the board for sales at the Gauselmann Group, said: “The acquisition of the Sceptre Leisure business and assets was the most effective way of ensuring the future prosperity of its customers and staff. “The Gauselmann Group will be working closely with the management team at Sceptre Leisure to provide all the support it needs to create a platform for innovation and growth in the UK market place."
