27% year on year increase in job vacancies reported

By Neville Gee Limited

28 Jan 2013

As high street names collapse, and job cuts hit the banking and military sectors hard, one leading recruitment consultancy, Neville Gee has got the year off to a flying start and is experiencing a considerable uplift in job roles being made available by local employers.

Following the launch of its dedicated Engineering and Technical division in December, the business has seen a 27% increase in live roles when compared to January 2012.

Commenting on the uplift, Tim Oldfield, Director and co-owner of Neville Gee said, “We’ve certainly had an incredible start to the year and it’s getting to the point that we’re being briefed on roles every single day through a mixture of repeat business, client referrals and networking contacts.

“At present we have over 30 different live roles – most of them permanent positions, many of them multiple vacancies. Our challenge now is to keep finding the best candidates to fill these roles - it’s a great position to be in. We’re also seeing a massive increase in web traffic, with more candidates than ever registering interest in roles.”

The new roles are not just restricted to the new Engineering and Technical division. The business has a number of vacancies for good sales, account management and administration staff.

Tim continued, “January is traditionally the time of year that people start thinking about their careers and potentially making a move; and from what 2013 has already provided in terms of the quality of the roles now being offered by employers, there’s never been a better time to make that move.” For further information about Neville Gee and the wide variety of roles available visit www.nevillegee.co.uk or call one of the team on 01282 430138.
