As supporters of Read Cricket Club, Cleanbright directors Andrew and Sarah Halstead were eager to increase their involvement with the club after being approached for sponsorship earlier this year, donating funds to provide the team with a brand-new training kit.
“2020 presented some huge challenges for all sports, and Read Cricket Club was not left unaffected by the pandemic and the restrictions which have ensued.
“It was an absolute pleasure to be able to get involved this year not just as supporters, but as sponsors, too. This is a relatively young team, and we hope they’ll continue to push on and aim for the title next season.
We’re really looking forward to the 2022 season; in the meantime, we hope everyone has enjoyed a great end-of-season celebration!”
The official end-of-season party was held at the club following the closing fixture on Saturday 11th September, after which the club finished second in the Ribblesdale Cricket League.
Club members and supporters are looking forward to the 2021 presentation evening, which will be held for all teams (from the Under 9s to the 1stXI) on Friday 22nd October.
