16 years of success built on teamwork

One of the key principles which has guided our business since its formation in 2007 has been the adoption of a team mentality when approaching everything that we do.

Now, 16 years on, that teamwork has helped us to pass 50 million hours of continuous operation at our 24/7 installs around the world and complete more than 350 significant control room video wall installations in more than 20 countries.

Our clients have included some of the world’s leading businesses and organisations, including BT, Rolls Royce, the UK Government, major banks and finance companies and police forces.

The four senior colleagues at the centre of the business have, between them, more than 75 years’ combined Audio Visual, Control Room and Visual Solutions experience.

Each member of our wider team is as equally as committed to delivering an excellent level of customer service and support, thanks to a wealth of knowledge and experience within the industry.

Here’s a brief introduction to the UVS team:

Steve Murphy – Founder and Managing Director
Steve has worked in the control room technologies sector for more than 35 years, specialising in video wall and display technology around the world for the last 20.

He remains very much hands-on, dealing directly with clients, and has built up a global reputation for delivering high quality and bespoke solutions.

Dave Hesketh – Operations Director
Dave, who has been with UVS for more than 13 years, is responsible for the planning and implementation of our installations.

He has ISOH certification for ensuring that Health and Safety requirements are met and has more than 20 years’ experience of delivering control room and AV solutions.

Phill Whitehead – Technical Director
Phill is responsible for UVS developments and is the point of contact for detailed technical advice.

He has worked in AV, education and control room solutions for more than 18 years and has been with UVS for more than seven years.

Loxie McDonald – Senior Engineer
Loxie has almost 20 years’ experience with AV and control room systems, having worked long-term for a major UK audio-visual system integrator prior to joining UVS more than nine years ago.

He is based in London and oversees our many London sites and assists in preparing client proposals.

Jonny O’Brien – Service Engineer
Before joining the UVS team full-time, Jonny worked with us for a number of years as a retained and UVS trained sub-contractor, operating throughout the UK.

He has also worked on many international projects in places such as Morocco and Slovakia.
