The Transport & Logistics Network (formerly Moving it in Lancashire) sponsored by Specialist Training & Consultancy Services Ltd was launched in 2019 and is aimed at anyone working in transport, logistics, fleet, warehousing, distribution and associated sectors.

What Will Fuel Your Future Fleet?

As a business operating 43 vehicles from cars, to vans and a fleet of HGV’s, the fuels-focused business that is Craggs Energy Group is impacted more than most by the shifts in fuel technologies that will transform the vehicles we use in our businesses.

Craggs Energy Group CEO Chris Bingham has spent much of the last 3 years working inside the fuel industry alongside Central Government trying to understand how the various greenhouse gases can be removed from commercial transport. At this next event Chris will share his views and findings of what this will mean to different parts of the transport industry, in the short, medium and long term.

From bio-fuels to electrification to hydrogen … what does your future fuel look like and when will it arrive?

Join Us In Person or Online!

Light refreshments will be provided for delegates attending in person. Non-members from within the sector are welcome.

About Chris Bingham

With a background in technology, Chris formed the North West & Yorkshire fuel distribution firm Craggs Energy in 2011. With further expansion into other areas of the fuel industry including fuel card provision, UK wide fuel brokerage, and fuel quality and tank risk mitigation services and with one eye always focused on the future of fuel and how technology can improve a largely traditional industry, Chris brings a wealth of experience within his sector.

An Introduction on the Legal Implications of Bridge Strikes

We will also hear from Kevin Gibson from Specialist Training, who will provide a snapshot view of the legal implications and potential punishments issued from the Traffic Commissioner and the costly compensation required from Network Rail in the event of a Bridge Strike. This session will benefit drivers, transport managers and O Licence holders.

The Transport & Logistics Network provides Lancashire businesses with sector-specific industry updates, opportunities and best practice insights as well as providing a forum to meet with their peers. These events are free to Chamber members (included in membership) and for non-members working within the sector it’s £20 plus vat. Light refreshments will be provided.

Interested? Contact Debbi Dawson or Simon Brierley at [email protected] for more information and an informal chat to discuss what’s included.
