R.I.S.E. is a response. A response to the challenges women still face on their journeys to leadership.
Research shows that women are still facing unconscious bias re promotion, doing the lions share of caring, have little time to build networks and often cannot find senior management roles that offer flexible or part time hours.
We know that women make superb leaders, recent research by Daniel Goleman found that "women more effectively employ the emotional and social competencies correlated with effective leadership and management than men.”
So why are only 34% of senior leaders in the UK female?
The R.I.S.E. programme is a very different kind of leadership programme. It starts with the woman, exploring personality, experience, vision and values.
It moves on to equipping her with the skills to confidently lead her teams.
It gives her the knowledge to discuss with her peers and her board, what can be enabled in her workplace and in wider society to ensure that more women 'rise'.
It ensures that she can stay resilient and enjoy life as she builds her career.
It's one day a month where a woman can learn, share, and build her career and resilience skills in a confidential space. Day one is 15th April then it's one Wednesday a month, it's manageable and effective.
