Reset, Recharge, Recover

Lancashire Business View and Boost have joined forces to bring you a series of webinars with leading business figures from the county who will inspire with their stories of ‘rising to the challenge’.

And, as part of the Boost #BoostYourRecovery campaign, we’ll be hearing from experts who will offer guidance and answer your questions.

Join us on Friday 5 June for the first in the Reset, Recharge, Recover series featuring Wayne Wild, commercial director at WEC Group and hosted by Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View.

WEC Group is one of the largest engineering and fabrication companies in the UK, based in Darwen. The group has grown substantially in recent years with numerous acquisitions and now employs nearly 1,000 across 15 manufacturing companies within the group.

Wayne has been instrumental in leading the business through this growth period and also headed the team which saw the business bought by an American private investor group.

During the coronavirus crisis WEC Group has repurposed some of its manufacturing facilities to build parts of ventilators for the NHS as well as key medical equipment for the Nightingale Hospitals built across the county. WEC’s laser engineering division manufactured and dispatched its first order of parts just 24 hours after receiving an initial inquiry.

WEC have also developed and launched brand new foot-operated hand sanitiser dispensers which are now available to buy online.
