Our North West HR Employers Forums are supported by HR professionals who are at the forefront of developing and delivering best practice in their field.

Our Forums are organised twice a year with regular slots from Forbes Employment Solicitors, Co-Creation Group Leadership and Management Specialists, and guest speakers who present on relevant HR and employment topics.

The Forum also offers attendees an excellent networking opportunity with business owners and HR Practitioners.

AGENDA

  • Light breakfast and Networking (9am to 9.30am)
  • Welcome and General Introduction – Jaydee Davis (Operations Director), Community & Business Partners (9.30am)
  • Legal Update – Andrew Halpin (Senior Associate), Forbes Solicitors

Providing a summary of key employment law updates.

  • Lt Col Edward Fraser (Commanding Officer), 4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment

Ed commands around 500 Army Reserve soldiers in The 4th Battalion, The Duke of Lancaster’s, spread across Lancashire, Cumbria, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. The Army Reserve develops leaders and problem-solvers, providing personal and professional development to employees that comes at no cost to the employer. Ed will describe unique opportunities, the commitment required and the benefits offered by the Army Reserve. Always looking for energetic and enthusiastic people, Ed will do his best to recruit you. If nothing else, he will illustrate what employers can gain from a Reserve-friendly approach.

  • Rebecca Stevens (FHOCAL™ Programme Director), Co-Creation Group

In a highly interactive session, Rebecca Stevens, Chartered Psychologist and Leadership Coach, will introduce you to FHOCAL™ and help you identify how to apply it in your organisation.

Traditional Change models are not fit for purpose for today’s or future needs, as thy are linear and have an end point. However, people and organisations are continuously evolving and it is what we are particularly good at as a species. However, in business it can be challenging to create a sense of engagement and achieve growth, when there is constant change. FHOCAL™, a new model for change management, brings together the best ideas, theories, research and tools from the field of positive psychology, into six key principles to help you create a change-positive culture.

  • Jaydee Davis (Operations Director), Community & Business Partners

Closing remarks

Ask the Expert – from 11.30am to 12.00pm members of Forbes Solicitors Employment and HR Business Support Team, and Co-Creation Group will be available to answer any individual questions or queries you may have in relation to your organisation / employees.

Please note: In the event of over subscription, where two colleagues are wishing to attend from the same organisation, we may have to request only one attends. Community & Business Partners will be in touch the week before the Forum if applicable.
