Innovation Tour - Health Innovation Campus at Lancaster University

The new £41m Health Innovation Campus at Lancaster University has been developed to provide a physical and virtual space where industry, research partners, health and care providers, the voluntary sector, local authorities and citizens can come together to create an innovation eco-system and work on significant health challenges.

The Health industry is critical to Lancashire's future ambitions in innovation. Lancaster University's Health Innovation Campus (HIC) provides the perfect location for academics, public sector and private sector leaders to come together and find solutions for future health challenges.

Glyn Jones, the Health Innovation Campus' Commercial Partnerships Manager and Samantha Winder, ERDF Programme Manager will provide a virtual tour of the facilities and showcase some of the Lancashire businesses that are engaging with the HIC.

Also joining us will be HIC residents North West Cancer Research who will be offering an insight into the importance of collaboration and partnerships with organisations such as The Chamber of Commerce and now the HIC. They will talk through why they made the decision to invest into the HIC and how it was the right move for us as a charity that works in the Lancaster area. They are delighted to be one of the first organisations to move into the Health Innovation Campus. #For them, the new building offered an unrivaled opportunity to co-locate with academics, students and other health businesses for the good of people in our region. The combination of good quality office accommodation alongside meeting space and open plan facilities to encourage collaboration was important. A few weeks after moving in, the new building is already encouraging joint working – even in the current environment.

The session will also include opportunities for live Q & A
