This half day masterclass will be delivered by the Making Rooms, Blackburn. It will introduce the stages of electronics development, from initial concept testing with a breadboard, to development and procurement of professionally printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Delegates will learn how to read datasheets for relevant design information, create a schematic and board layout in Autodesk Eagle and will develop a knowledge of manufacturing and procurement for PCB production and population.
Delegates will need a medium to high level of computer literacy for this masterclass.

EnginE is a new project aimed at Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing (AEM) SMEs to build their capacity for higher level skills provision and degree apprenticeships. EnginE has been co-designed by Higher Education, Further Education and industry representative partners, including Lancaster University, Blackpool & Fylde College, Blackburn College and Northern Automotive Alliance. The EnginE project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).
